Upper West to East Water Transmission Line Project

As part of Widefield Water and Sanitation District’s commitment to providing service that is reliable and that meets strict environmental and quality standards, we will be installing a new water transmission line in the area. The new line will improve system capacity and is designed to meet the increasing service demands of our growing community.

Construction of the new water line is expected to begin in November 2022. Construction will take place in three phases, with two construction teams working simultaneously, and is expected to last 120 days.

We’ve partnered with Garver to provide engineering services and Pate Construction Company to perform construction of the new pipeline. Both companies have extensive records of successfully completing similar projects.

Construction Area Map

Construction of the new pipeline will primarily take place along Metropolitan St, Goldfield Dr, River Bend Rd, Grand Valley Dr, and adjacent to Fontaine Blvd.

Residents in the construction area have already received a written notice informing them of the project. Residents will continue to receive communications throughout the duration of the project, including information about street closures, driveway access restrictions, and interruptions to service.
