Job Title: Customer Service Specialist

Hours: Full-Time (Non-Exempt)

Job Description:

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Engages with customers in the daily operation of front counter and over the telephone.
  • Receives customer inquiries and provides information regarding customer charges, usage, delinquent charges and District policies.
  • Contributes to the generating of customer notices and billing.
  • Generates work orders and coordinates with field staff.
  • Produces routine reports and correspondence.

 

Requirements:

3 years of experience in customer service to include customer billing (utility billing preferred), payment processing, and being proficient in utilizing a variety of billing/accounting software systems, including Microsoft’s Excel and Word. Ability to analyze and interpret various reports. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

This position represents the District as a primary contact and must have excellent communication skills.  Taking ownership of the position responsibilities and the ability to work with minimal direct supervision is necessary.

Hiring Range

The starting salary depends on qualifications and experience.  $26.81 - $36.79/hr.
